My wife hates my RC habit so I never bring anything in the house, the only drawback is my garage isn't environmentally controlled so the winter time gets a bit tough. It's amazing how much you can still do when you can't feel your fingers

Fortunately for me, my wife is pretty tolerant of my hobbies.

Back before we were married, my apartment had car parts everywhere. I distinctly remember one day she came over, and I had a couple of intake manifolds, a bunch of injectors, a throttle body, and a few other parts all over the dining room table. I remember her telling me that she didn't mind that I liked doing car work, or even that I would spent lots of money on car stuff, but she just really did not like the car parts being in the house.

So they stay out in the garage, except stuff that's new in the boxes. The RC stuff she doesn't really care about. Probably because it's a lot smaller.
Now there are times when I get a lot of eye-rolling. Like, "Honey, I was thinking about buying another (insert something here...wheels, race tires, etc etc)." One thing she never gives me grief about is safety equipment. I remember when I told her how much a HANS would cost. She didn't even blink and said "Buy it."

Now, when she saw the quote for the brake replumbing project, that was a different story.
