The 2400kv will need 3s in order to be ideal.
According to the rpm's of the 2400kv at 3s it should be a little smoother than the 3800kv at 2s, which could be a benefit (keep in mind that the 3800kv is found by many to be smooth too).
The only thing to keep in mind is what is allowed at your track (2s or anything goes).
