Generally no I don't except for 1/8th onroad bodies. There are spots that rub the body like the front bumper, rear body mount, etc. and scratch them all up so I put a bit of tape in those spots to prevent scratches.
Sometimes I might put a bit of fiberglass tape and shoe goo in the front fender corners to prevent or repair cracks.
