Does the Alpha Discovery 5 port have a significant performance advantage over this 3 port engine. You had said that you didnt like the 2066 pipe but what about the 2013 or the 2057, 2058 pipes with this engine. I guess I am wondering if the little extra money for the ABI tuned and the lightened head is worth it, because the Alpha Discovery's are back ordered. Thanks

these two engines are very close... I think I give the nod to the discovery, just because it's newer technology and has the new carb, but the 3 port is a great engine. One of my favorites of all time. I know I'm not much help, but it's just as hard for me to make up my mind as it is for you
If it was me buying the engine?... I would do the 3 port. I wouldn't run the 2057 either unless we were in Europe, then it might work. 2013 and 2058 are the way to go... for your truggy, use the 2013.
