Okay guys, heres my 2 cents. I ran kbrl today with the argus. I had a total of about a half gallon on it before the race started. I didnt get as much time as I had hoped for practice so I had some trouble tuning for the first round. I will tell you these things are not going to come to life until they have a gallon and a half to 2 gallons. The engine felt too rich to me but if I leaned it out, it would lean bog. My temps were anywhere from 240 to 260 in 60-80 degree weather. Durring the 20 minute main, I did flame out simply because of the fact the engine isnt fully broken in. I got back in the race at the 10 minute mark and ran out of fuel on the last lap. Keep in mind, this engine still isnt fully broken in, so its going to run hotter and not have the full runtime. I had good top end, but it wouldnt top out because I still have quite a bit of pinch. I very impressed with the way that it ran, and if you guys are impressed with less then a gallon, just wait until you hit that 2 gallon mark. Keep in mind the carb is going to be a lot more touchy then a novarossi, os, ninja exc. Ive learned the best way to tune it is the bottom first. Once you can get a smooth idle, let it sit for 10 seconds and open it up. Make sure it doesnt load up or lean bog. The idle should drop right back down and stay there. From there, you can start tuning the top.
FYI, I was running an 0801 pipe, 6.5mm restrictor, OS P3 plug and torco fuel...
