just looking over the instructions, looks like you should be able to power the receiver in any of the channels, just check the polarity so it will power up

and really have no answer if it is good or bad, I have one in my crawler, works great and have a 3s for racing
Yea, I removed the servos per instructions. I guess I'll replace the receiver and servo. I needed a better servo anyway.

I've had to replace a part every stinkin time I've taken it out (Hot Bodies D8). It's a good buggy, but dang this hobby is expensive!
