My buddy and I did this with our alphas going buy Jimmy Wrights Alpha Plus Preferred break in method. The only thing we changed was heat cycling it on the ground moving, instead of idleing on a box. I got 6 gallons out of my alpha before the piston pin loosend up and the piston let go, my buddys is still running with 8 gallons on it. All original. Could use a pinch but he said what the hell. He wants to run it till it blows. The way I see it if I can go out and race full out 2 times a month practice a couple times a month and get 6 to 8 gallons out of a motor before anything breaks Im happy. So far with the Alpha I have and for the way the Argus runs right out of the box I dont think there will be a problem getting 6 and probably way more. Jonathan thank you for bringing this motor to the U.S. Ive had two of the brand name Itialian motors that were broke in buy the book and neither one of them made it to 6 gallons before there were internal problems of one sort or another.
