Looks like you've found your prob. Thats the old, orig 2.4 radio Traxxas came out with 1st. Then the Link 2.4 system followed. They are not compatible. One is DSSS (link) and the other is just spread spectrum.

The link system is better - it has adjustability that the other does not plus it has model memory. The link radio is p/n 2208 - 4 channel and 2209 - 2 channel version.

I got mine on eBay.


Believe the non-link 2.4 radio you have need p/n2217 for a rcvr.
