NO58BM - The only extra thing I do is sand the diff rings with 600-800-1000 grit for about a minute each to true them up.
Other than that, the best thing to do is get to the track on a practice night and ask locals what set ups (see AE website) and tires & inserts work best. I've found everyone is more helpfull on practice nights because they are not rushing around getting ready for their next race.
Dont forget to have a set of front and rear A arms and a set of rear body posts "wing mounts" and maybe a servo saver. Those are the parts that I most commonly break.
