And from one race worth of experience I can tell you one thing for sure, it depends. I saw everything from 70 to 90mm rollouts, and all were capable of good times depending on motor type and speedo settings.
For LRP motor, Tekin speedo, short track, try around 80-85 with lower timing, like 0 motor, 35 boost. I was a bit slower at the start but the fastest thing on the track at the end.
Tekin and Duo motors, try a bit more timing and a bit less gear.
