Yeah i recommend .....cutting ur belts.......(use a nail clipper)
ive just done it to one of my old belts to c how it goes ....
an the drivetrain is now very smooth an freed up ..!!
also try using/or getting the lightweight diff joints helps helps
on weight an gives better acceleration .......
