If 17.5 1/12 is ok and I imagine the spurs and pinions would end up about the same size it would have to encourage newcomers to 1/12 without the mental speed of open or even 10,5.

Imagine if 1/12 scale had true novice/feeder class as I would think a 17.5 at 3.7v would be fairly soft compared to the lower winds, kv ratings etc.
