Losi RTR is good but you'll need some servos. Stock ones aren't race worthy at all. Try some hitec 7955 if running nimh or 7950TH if running lipo. Starter box that come with it is fine just use a heat gun when breaking in the motor(this is a MUST). Hope this helps.
