I've been using the Yokomo graphite shaft for the past 2 race dates (stock class). I've read about the shaft splintering, so I decided to paint on 2 coats of thin CA. I then used a super fine grit sanding block to smooth out the surface of the shaft. I figured since the shaft is graphite, it must have an open fiber structure. Anyway, my hope is that the CA would fill the gaps between the fibers and make the graphite stronger. So far there are no signs of stress on the shaft (knock on wood).
er... how much more does it weight? now it's CA'ed?
