Default and its

stunts like that are why flying a heli (or plane) will soon become alot harder .
yes its cool but read this

The AMA seems to be fighting a battle for our rights here in the US. The last thing we need is a bunch of politicians regulating our flying. I think clubs across the US should help where they can and insure our representatives that we are safe and don't need government oversight.

If someone has ideas they'd care to share that can help us all continue to enjoy our hobby please do.

I have posted extensively about this and there is a very clear danger to the hobby...Some of the things on the table are hard altitude limits for models, total ban on model turbines, enforcement of TFR zones, list goes on...Problem is, model aviators are not part of the NAS system, and don't know/care about FAA regs...The ensuing infractions cold lead the FAA to ban most modeling activity...Think it can't happen?...How about a ban on manufacture/importation of any model aviation related equipment?....Or a massive tax on same.

Be ready to fight this hard.

Ban flying in public. If you get cought, its a $50 dollar fine and you loose what your flying,radio,heli/plane and all. When a few more people get hurt in public places, they could ban everything.
I know i'll get bashed for saying that but theres too many kids flying 450/500 size heli in public around people.

Believe me...You do NOT want model aviation regulated by the FAA...If you fly full scale, you know exactly what I'm talking about.....
Look on the FPV forum here...You'll see why and what the FAA is talking about...Problem is, no regulation will stop it...Genie is out of the bottle...

You do know the NRA endorsed Harry Ried, right? The NRA is not what it once was nor should be. The AMA will go that direction with this administration as well.

You are mistaken.

The AMA will have very little power in the matter. We will ruin it for ourselves. National media examples like the kids that injured a woman with a heli in a park or the fpv guys that made news by flying over people and land marks in NYC in the past year will kill this hobby.

Folks, just keep in mind that this is only really happening here in the "land of the free." Hopefully, our Canadian and over-seas brethren would be able to accommodate us with RC vacations every now and then in order to get our itch scratched

I could see a lot of folks migrating to or vacationing in Canada just so they can fly their turbines
