In order for a body based off a current race car to work the bottom of the chassis will have to be sealed in order to work. Current race cars make downforce with the underside of the car and our r/c cars are a ways away from doing that so far. If we are only going to make downforce with the top side of the car and look like a real race car they are going to have to copy race cars that ran the tracks before I was born. I say lets let form follow function. 1/8 scale has been about going faster and faster for a long time now or since the pan car got left behind.
True, I showed a few friends that have never raced RC anything the bodies, they said oh cool GTP cars. Or oh cool some kind of lemans car.
not once did they say....oh the wing looks HUGE or the side dams are to tall.
I am all for body rules but the way it reads the NERF stick is on its way, anyone have any 97 Lola bodys on hand so i can get used to that kind of down force?
