The 5 port engines are plenty for buggy. We ran 7 port in Colorado because we were at 7000'. Normally the 7 port is a little much for a buggy. For truggy the 7 port is the way to go. Durability wise, you can't get much better than a Team Orion engine. If it's cared for properly and doesn't suck dirt, it will run a LONG time. The quality is second to none, especially with the new piston material and crank case on the WC edition engines. If set-up properly and with the proper fuel and such, the 5 port will run 10 minutes without too much trouble. Longer on high bite smaller tracks.
