Hambone you make a good point in your post but you have to look at it in different way. For the racer who's funds are limited hands down the werks engines are the best thing for them. It isn't fair to say that the speed is a waste of money because you can get an engine for almost half the price and it can perform just as good. People like what they like. Don't knock a man for spending $400 on an engine when he could have gotten the b5 or b6. If I can get it to run I like it. no matter what it costs. Hell werks need to make an onroad engine. I'd get one.
You misunderstood me. Jammin and i both have run OS for a long time. My point was if you like OS and that's what YOU are going to buy, and you want it modified, the end result from Neal was very identical in power between the speed and xz-b after modding, however the price is quite different for the engines. That's where the customer has to decide if the ceramic bearing, DLC coated and slugged crank are worth the different price.
