If you haven't built the car yet it's far easier to do file the battery slots when the chassis doesn't have anything attached to it. A large, cheap file is about $3-6 at a swap meet or hardware store. You can use a Dremel also. I have a cheap set of small files in assorted shapes (round, half-round, flat, etc.) that was pretty cheap.

Erik - just trying to preach the good word! Sometimes it's quite a mountain to climb...

Folks, listen to Erik (most of you are, thankfully) - he designed the car, plus Thad doesn't have time to post and Hara never can, so this is as close as you can get to the proverbial "horse's mouth" (not that Erik's a horse..he can *drink* like one but that's a separate subject).
