The TA03 ball diff is a direct replacement for the gear diff.

If you put in an M05 ball diff, that is however different. I think there should be instructions on the packet with the m05 diff.

Things to note, the TA03 ball diff comes with out drives because they are different to the outdrves of the gear diff. Loctite the screw through the center of the ball diff. And do it up nice and tight.
You can strip the thread when tightening up, but i do mine up pretty hard i stripped the aluminium part (not the screw) once.
