No I checked the drag every value is the same and I just got done re-rebuilding it and trying it just in my hand with no pinion and it smoked at high rev.
I think one of the wires inside must have fried. Or is loose? I don't think the esc would be the cause maybe giving off too much juice? I'm going to re wire it and see

Holding it and reving it causes smoke under no load...
