The reason he said is Xray has enough money to invest in molds.

Other companies wanted to make more profit so they switched to CNC machines.

Remember rbakker....

Thats almost 20k for bulkheads and around 12k for the covers.

Look at Serpent... If they had sticked with plastic bulkheads and changed designs like they did now, they would have to invest another 30k in molds for the 733 and 966. Whereas, the cnc machining just needed to run a different model in the cnc program.

You say manhours... The plastic molding isn't automatic I believe. So someone still has to remove the parts and inspect them like aluminum parts.

Why do you think that KM already has a new chassis without a year into the car??? They just added a new process into the program to cut the middle of the chassis.
