Yes, I'm usually carrying alot of momentum into the straight. I run my tires anywhere from 58-60mm and anything beyond that will drop my lap times. I've also played with the adjustment point on the 2 speed. My r40 loves a small tight tracks though. All I need is just a hair more top end to give me the confidence for big tracks. I can remember seeing a 22 tooth some where, oh well I have some researching to do.

Try decompressing the motor slightly with shims. It works wonders and keeps your motor cooler on larger tracks.
