Interesting - I didn't see that anywhere, but I'll look again.
I think the trick may be in the trigger position - they talk about electronic throw and mechanical throw in the transmitter setup section. I suppose on the mx-3x that would be the EPAs in an electronic sense (I think) but it seems to have helped some that moved the trigger more towards the middle with the adjustment screw
(and yeah, it does definitely get trucking in reverse lol)

I have the havoc sc. Setup. Reverse is full bore. Nothing you can do about it. Has something to do with the timing and cannot be changed. It mentions it in the paperwork that comes with the esc briefly. Hope this helps you.
