Yes the tamiya bladders fit. They are pretty much identical to the new xray bladders. If you take your time in shock building making sure that there is zero rebound and the damping feels roughly the same it will make a great deal of difference to the handling of the car.
also you need to drill the shock caps for zero rebound. Drew Ellis was meant to release a shock building video for the car but i have never seen it anywhere.
