Hi BigAlz - The name of the thread is incorrect, just what I was talking about earlier.
The company never changed, it is an entirely different company. Go-Tech ceased to exist some years ago (I can't tell you exactly when).
GO Engine Co (simply called GO by most) was formed in 2005. They manufacture the current GO GX Series engines we are talking about on here. Prior to the GX Series they produced a Pro Series motor in advancing models using the Generation system ie Gen 2, Gen 3, Gen 4 and so on as they brought new models out. The GX Series took over from the Pro Series last year, and for all intent and purposes is a Generation 5.5 with extra's.
GO are bringing out a new High Output motor in 2011 which will be the GXII, and this will be their Generation 6 model.

This is a test on the GO GX-5R motor, and it also gives you a run down on the company history, formation, who runs the show etc.
The Pro and the GX Series consist of three motors. A 3 Port version, a 5 Port version, and a 7 Port version - GX-3R, GX-5R, and GX-7R.
The MG66 motor you hear about is a motor designed by Mark DeBerardinis of Massive Mods Australia Ltd. This motor is made by the GO factory under licence for Massive Mods Australia. So it is a GO product, but it is not a GO motor, if that makes sense. Mark is also the international development and testing manager for GO, so hence the connection between the two companies.
I hope this blurb, and the associated link help to clear a few peoples minds about what is what with the GO products. Just remember, GO-Tech doesn't exist anymore, and has nothing to do with the GO brand of engines. Never has.
Cheers, Grizz.
