They are very suited to truggy, but nothing to stop you running the 5R in the buggy. The 5R has tremendous bottom end, which can be a little daunting in the buggy if you don't get the gearing and clutch right

With a softer clutch set up, and maybe going up 1 tooth on the bell you will love it. Power to burn, and for a motor with so much bottom end you will be surprised how much top end it has as well.
Having been involved with the GO range of motors for several years now (GX and the earlier Pro Series), my personel recommendation for buggy in the GX Series would be the 7R, but the 5R will be killer too
