My son ran his SC10 there yesterday and was clearing everything except the quad with a stock brushless rtr. If I were you, watch ebay for the SC10's stock electronics, there is a few people selling them new (speedo and motor) for a pretty good deal. Then, go to hobbyking.com and get 2 $20 lipo's and your set.
Thanks guys. Ideally I would pick up a brushless system and a couple lipo's and charger but it's not in the budget right now. I will keep an eye out on Ebay and the FS threads here for the AE RTR brushless system. I am hoping to find a way to get a little extra speed out of the truck with out breaking the budget.
I know the tires are a big issue, I will pick up a set of clay compound tires, Suburbs, Gold Bars or something similar and give those a shot. And keep practicing of course!
