[QUOTE=NitoriousRC;8245936]Just thought i would post my RayA experience here for anyone that has been reading along.
I should say firstly i was a big fan of Ray's work although i have never had anything done by him.
By all reports the work and customer service has been outstanding.... i wish i could say the same.
I wrapped my piston, button and sleeve in a peice of anti slip matt (stuff used to airbrush the carbon fibre effect. It was all rolled up like a cigar and the ends folded over and all taped up. I then placed this in a bubble wrap bag which was then sealed in the posrtage envelope. I seriously thought i would receive an overkill award for the packaging!
Martin,
After reviewing the description of your packaging I can confirm your headbutton no doubt was thrown in the trash with the floor mat it was wraped in. I get 5-10 packages most buisness days, and yours I do not feel was unrapped/unpackaged thouroughly. Your envoice showed a headbutton was enclosed and I looked, but not hard enough. The package was damaged . along with a few others that day, and I truely thought the parcel was wrapped seperatly and postal carrier give it a quick fix taping it up loosing "one" of its contents. But again, with your description above I can confirm now I remember the floormat - rubber wrapped tight. and of course I DID NOT UNWRAP it as I should or could have. Furthermore, that same day A few other packages came to me all wet (one of which had 4 sets that need alot of attention shipped from the south. Anywho, that package was shipped to me in a standard flat rate priority small package open on one side, that which I refused delivery from the carrier untill after I had confirmed with customer contents all there. All good with them. But your missing headbutton I had checked with postmaster , and looked hard here, and not found. So there Martin.....you should feel like Sherlock F###in Holms catching RayA throwing out engine parts. Shoot me....

Sorry, but the piston and sleeve set was serviced and return shipped 11-4-10 USPS international post. And with that said, it was lightly honed and resized 0.0005" to a lighter side of my "medium" tight resizing. It should run long and hard for you.
In refernce to your comments as to future service by guys tooled by me , you should, thats what I tool them for. As far as they providing the same detail and accuracy with piston+sleeve reconditioning-resizing ...........
Now Martin, If you are having trouble replacing the missing headbutton with the $29 paypaled you, shoot me a email and I will make a few calls.
Again, I apologise Martin for this inconvenience. No more rubber mats please

Kind regards,
Ray
