no idea what kd2777 is talkin about.

I have two of the db3dl, one for 2mm and 2.5mm. great clutch, tensioned perfect for RC. torquey motor, and spins fast enough so your not sitting there going goofy watching a screw turn. also drills very well too.

got the ryobi first:is weak, spins slow, and inconsistent clutch. it went to the trash after a week. did not want to lose a friend over such a "gift".

the makita, looks great. the specs similar to the hitachi, just likely better built with a stronger battery.
The new one (the Li-on version, came out about two months ago) is very consistant, not slow, and is extreamly strong in the mid too higher clutch settings and drill mode, and lasts forever.
