I tend to stay out of Marcca business, but I have to say this. Almost every class in the whole world of RC racing will start as a fun and economical class, but at some point, someone is going to think, that they can put a bigger faster motor or battery in to be better. Perfect example, Trans Am. Started off as 27 turn motors and 4-6 cell batteries, granted technology came around and kind of changed the game, Trans Am started off fun, but as soon as brushless motors and lipos came around, I had to use a hybrid (19 turn rotor in a 27 turn can) to be even somewhat close to the lipos and brushless motors. I wasn't the only one that was bending the Trans Am rules either.
I am going to kind of agree with Jeremy on this one, motor rule in Madison probably won't happen. If it does great, but it better get enforced.
By the way, to go along with Gabe, I won the Short Course A main outdoors with my little 13.5 in the 4x4 Hyper due to clean driving, then went to Reedsburg and beat a couple of other 4x4's with a 6.5 and the other had a Novak 550 can. Now, I am not trying to trash talk, but the point is there. Side note, it will be a different story when I put a much better motor in my short bus.
Enjoy your racing.
