It has a matte finish and is somewhat flexible, but I wouldn't describe it as rubbery. Rustoleum Bed Coating is the brand.

Sometimes they're labeled one way and come out another. I'm pretty sure the truck bed liner's come out rock-hard while the rubberized undercoating sprays come out too soft and chunky.

An epoxy-based paint would be the absolute best. We used to use them to paint swimming pools. You could probably even use plain old jb weld applied very thin.

To save on weight you could put the coating on only the highspots/fenders/lips etc.
