You are in luck, there is a really great offroad track called toys 4 big boys close by (last I was there) (210) 651-0435 should be the #.
austin is also a reasonable drive (1-2hrs?) and has some great tracks and if you want to make it to houston (2.5-3hrs I believe) you can run on some great covered clay which is fairly unique to the area.
