yes they pretty much all have a little slop in the steering, ive shimmed a little bit of it out, but you dont want to get rid of all of it, otherwise it will cause a slight bind.

the only part of the steering ive shimmed is on the post itself, added about 0.3mm on each side. this takes about 90% of the float away.
