After you've exhausted all things you can do to gain side and forward bite, then add weight. Another F1 racer where I race added weight to his car and it's planted. Think about it, the car was designed with NiMH's in mind which are ~100grams heavier than lipo's. I don't think adding some weight to gain more traction will hurt.
