Moving on....
How was breakin Jeremy? Did you have time to get enough fuel through it? Runtime should still get better and better....
yes tony got a full 1.5 gallons thru the mill...
all i can say is thank you very much tony for giving me the chance to run this motor this and next year!!!!
quick review... started break in on thur. afternoon... very easy motor to break in but takes alot of time.. motor only stalled once in the hole break in process.. got about 1/2 gallon on thur... fri got to run it a little more another 1/2 or so thru the motor.. ech night i would take the motor apart to inspect... well all is good on the break in.. as expected but making sure so i can pass any info on to others... sat. got to the track for some finishing breakin.. another 1/4 gallon on the track.. got it 80% race tuned on sat.. still gurgulling on the top end but doing ok... tq'ed with a 1st place finish...
sunday was off to the track again.. got there late due to having a football game in the morning.. missed first round but got there in the 20 min break.. started the car got it warm started rac tuning.. about 1.5 gallos on it now... 2nd qualifier took 2nd was on a tq run but lapped traffic managed to hit me hard.. was in the lowest heat due to being late.. 3rd qual. on a tq run when a lapped car turned right into me and i got caught in his wing... mad it back to .012 behind tq.. started second in the main buggy ran perfect.. leader crashed i took off and had a 9 sec. lead.. came in for pit (8 min mark) left and all good.. 12 sec lead now.. yup lapped traffic slammed me in the side while going thru the rhythm section and off the track i go.. marshall got me going now 5 sec behind the new laeder with 2 min to go... came back to be .3 behind.. lead ran out of fuel just after passing the finishline... i went 2 more laps for fun before i ran out...
motor is very smooth but yet powerful all thru the powerband.. ran against speeds, novarossi's, werk's and alpha motors this week and got better fuel mileage and did not give 1 inch of ground any where on the track to any of the motors.... very very happy with the overall performance of this engine... thank you again tony for the chance to run the tecnopower motors.. jeremy whiting....
