Received mine today and installed it tonight. Yup, I had to customize the plastic top piece that covers the center diff in order for it to bolt up to the new elite mount. Actually I just ground it down a bit and then it fit perfect. The angle of the mount rises too high near the center diff cover which causes the problem.

I also had to use different flat head hex bolts that go through the chassis into the elite mount. The stock RC8Be bolts were 4mm x 15 but they were too long. I had to use some 4mm x 12 flat head hex bolts from my Mugen screw kit to get the screws to tighten up and sit flush on the chassis.
