You did something wrong then. Take it apart and check all of your spacers on the spur gear shaft. Also find out which screws make it tighter and back track. This car should free spin out of the box.
I did this already. I went over the directions "with a fine tooth comb" so to speak, and I cannot find any errors in building, neither the actual gearbox or the spur gear shaft. I'll go over them again tonight when I get home from work. Perhaps I'm reading the directions wrong....but I've been building race kits for over 12 years....so I kinda' doubt this is the case.
I noticed that when I loosened the two outer screws that reside on the far ends of the gearboxes things got alot more free. This is obviously because now the gearboxes are now not clamped together, but clearly I cannot run the car with those two screws loose all the time.
It's not possible that I tighted the gearbox screws down TOO much....is it? I mean the plastic would strip out first, right?
