Sub trim should always be used first to get it as close as possible and then use the trim to fine tune it. Sub trim has no effect on travel limits, trim does. If the servo horn is way out of wack and you use only the trim to center it you may loose travel. LMK if that makes sence..
Interesting, it never occurred to me before how tricky this can be to say. I’ve always said it a little different even though we’re on the same track. The key difference is how they impact endpoints-travel and when they are set.
1. Use sub trim to center (after installing the horn as close as practical).
2. Then set endpoints-travel.
3. Then use regular trim to make ongoing adjustments.
