Honestly, I would save up and spend a little more money from the go. I know where you're coming from, but if you buy something like that to start, you're going to get frustrated tuning it, and fixing cheap, broken parts, and you will soon lose interest in the hobby due to a cheap vehicle. I had a buddy buy two of those redcat cars and they were both junk. Very hard to find parts for too.
My advice is to spend a little more money, and get a better built vehicle. If you're looking at a 1/10, look at the Losi Ten-T.
