I think you guys are talking about two different thing. The OP seems to be talking more about the "feel" of the LRP ESC. I have both brand ESC's and they definitely feel different. But there is just too many variable here. You can definitely set your Tekins to feel like an LRP if you want, but it won't ever be an LRP. On the other hand, you can't set your LRP to feel like a tekin.
If you want to know for sure, see if your buddy will let you borrow his ESC. Then you can decide.
