I noticed a huge difference in feel between my m11 and my DX3R, the dx3r with the matching dsm2 receiver almost made my ride feel twitchy it was so instantaneous, so that could be the difference if the remote was a dx3r. This was both using Tekin rs with deadband at 15, if your feeling it everywhere in the powerband the dead band setting wont help anything.
