Whom ever told you that has 1, never owned or used a Tekin, 2, haven't a clue about what they're saying.

The Tekins, both RS and Pro, have no problems thermaling like certain orange products or even blue ones. The RS is good to 5.5 and unlimited for brushless. The Pro can run anything.

Problem is that some people tend to use too tall over a gear and overheats the motor and the ESC but they would do that with any ESC since they don't know that when the turns go low so do the pinion teeth.

I ran a whole season with a RS Pro and a LRP 4.5 and never overheated anything.
