Zip ties weigh nothing, so one each end as close as you can to it being attached to anything is even better.
It wasn't snagging on anything. The g-forces from the crash and the weight of the cable were pulling it out of the plug. With the cable locked down on a motor wire it doesn't come out anymore. A 90degree plug on one end of a sensor cable would be great cos in a TC5 I've had some T-bone crashes that have broken my sensor wires with a Redline motor.
