Another consideration: A lot of engines work well for the first 2 gallons. So, you get a lot of those "HEY! ______ Engine is SOOO SMOOTH, GREAT POWERBAND, DIALED!!!!" comments for nearly any engine. What you want is an engine that still runs well 6,7,8 gallons in. Those are the ones that have the best value in the long run.
I agree completely on both of those posts as far as my budget its not very big as far as lasting7-8 gallons That is what I want,
Novarossi has a history of lasting long as well as RB (very similar engines most rb are nova based) O.S has a bad record of not lasting as well as Werks.
BUT engine life and performance also depends hugely on care you can take an amazing engine break it in poorly don't tune it well overheat it don't maintain it suck some dirt in there and all of a sudden.. your engine craps on you at 3 gallons. Were if you break it in properly tune it well maintain it and treat it good it will last for 8-9 gallons.
