I think you would have had better breakin results on the ground, with very easy throttle atleast another 1/2 gallon.

Your right Ray, Its not good.
When running in my engines, I always use the bench. cover the head. The temps on this engine ranged between 90-105c during runin. To be honest, after 500ml the engine felt runin. At the 750ml, with the glow plug out it had no pinch at the top at all. I wasnt happy at that point but decided to put it in the car and take it to the local park and run some fuel through it and find a rich tune. The engine tuned OK and had plenty of power. Thats when I took it out this past weekand for a run at a race meet. The rest is history. its a bin job now. Even the head button is very very loose in liner which I dont like. Oh well as they say sh!t happens.
