Not entirely correct. A .21 is more powerful than a .12 or .18. You use .21 engines in 1/8 scale because the vehicles are heavier and larger. you need the extra power to get them up to speed. Race specs for 1/10 scale specify a .12 sized engine. You can run an .18 if you want, but not for racing in sanctioned races.
