Neil: My original plan was to ante up for the AMB system myself, and last summer I already purchased the billy goat blower out of my own pocket. I have computers coming out the wazoo and I can work out a deal with Doug Hay for the best software out there.

I am willing to do all of this because I want to see racing in Madison. I thought I had proved that last year but sacrificing my entire summer of racing to run the show in Verona. And yet, boneheads like Fire Rider come on here and accuse me of undermining the club (still waiting to hear how I did that) and destroying racing. It makes no sense.

Last year, I took a lot of heat because sedan racing only broke even for the summer. So I figured if I pick up the cost this year, that would just make those people happy.

But, I was wrong.

I figured that there was no way the club would rather destroy the drivers' stand than to let us use it, especially if we continued to offer the discount.

But, once again, I was wrong.

There are people, and one person specifically, on the board who think of the club as their own. They do not represent the interest of the club, they represent themselves. They vote based on their dislike of sedan racing and the idea that if things don't go their way, then they don't want things going anywhere.

If MARCCA was a stronger club with better guidance, R/C Performance wouldn't be trying to build a track, because MARCCA's would be better. But take a look at the club some time, a hard look, and you'll see how far it has fallen in the past 3 years. RCP is building a track because the opportunity is there, and the opportunity is there because the club is making poor decisions.
