The GO motors come with 3 x shims. 1 x .3mm alloy shim and 2 x .1mm copper shims.
After the first gallon or so, remove one of the thin .1mm copper shims (not the alloy one). This will give you a little more power and slightly improved run times.

I'm just making sure I understand what you are saying. This doesn't include the break in shim that comes in the box correct. The shims you are talking about are on the motor? I'm a little over a gallon and would mind a bit more power.
