Will WD-40 damage the crank red putty if used as after run oil, most of the engine manufatures say dont use certain fluids, but is WD-40 one of them?
Do not use WD-40, or any petroleum based oils. They will swell, and eventually detach the silicon. Use a good after run oil specifically made for our little engines that says it does not attack the silicon
Some of the after run oils in the hobby shops are still petroleum based.
